My School Ticino is pleased to present the initiative My School for Parents. For the third consecutive year, we are continuing the good practice of educational meetings with a planned agenda. Our goal is to create a unified, strong, and distinct vision for our educational program for early childhood and up to 10 years of age.
The sessions, led by our educators or by external speakers, are free and open to everyone: parents, caregivers and anyone interested. They offer an opportunity to reflect on topics relating to education, personal development and good practices that concern family communities and all their members. Some sessions are specifically dedicated to early childhood.
The initiative aims to strengthen the sharing of values and practices that are useful to the wider community. By providing practical tools to help navigate the challenges of parenting and education, we aim to build a valuable educational partnership and a shared sense of purpose. Reflection and collaboration are at the heart of healthy and solid development.
The topics covered during these sessions range from breastfeeding to nutrition more generally, from Montessori-specific approaches to bilingualism, communication and conflict management, digital technology, and much more.
We believe that investing time in your own growth as a parent is a precious gift to yourself and your children. It is also a pathway towards becoming, little by little, a more aware and effective parent (or caregiver) — and, ultimately, a happier one.
