In the hope that for each and every one of you the Christmas season has been full of warmth and love, it is with great joy that we inform you about the charity collection ‘’One gift for every child – 2024‘’ that has just been concluded. We are very proud to announce that, thanks also to your contribution, we were able to raise sufficient funds and thus offer a Christmas gift to 550 children, consisting of CEM foster guests (332) and minors asylum seekers hosted by the Red Cross (218).
After a survey with the managers of the centres, who expressed enthusiasm, an exclusive agreement was reached with the Splash&Spa water park in Tamaro: each minor received an entry voucher worth CHF 25 each, plus free entry for those accompanying the children and youths.
Together with the fundraising call, which we extended to all our contacts and on all our media channels, we promoted a charity collection with the Christmas initiative of My School Ticino, through the purchase of tickets for the raffle and tombola of the children and pupils attending the institute. Together with the families, several of our suppliers contributed by offering prizes. Our heartfelt thanks also go to them.
In addition to the mentioned CEM and Red Cross centres, and through a contribution from our Medacta for Life Foundation, we also made a financial contribution to the SAE, Servizio di Accompagnamento Educativo. In constant contact with many difficult situations and on the eve of Christmas, the SAE managers were able to identify families to whom they could direct a little specific support.
We feel we have achieved our goal: with the occasion of Christmas, to be able to offer so many children and young people a gift of joy and happiness! Together we can really make a difference.
