My School for Parents is open to everyone and is an opportunity to discuss topics related to education, training, best practices, and specific matters concerning childhood and development for age group 0-10. The initiative aims to share ideas and practices useful to the community, and increasingly develop a valuable educational cooperation.
In this context, our school is pleased to offer an educational evening “Listening to Understand: family communication according to the Gordon method” dedicated to family communication, led by Cinzia Valletta, relational counsellor and certified Gordon Method trainer.
Through the Gordon Method, we will explore how children’s and teenagers’ behaviour is often linked to unexpressed needs and emotions, and how more conscious and active listening can improve the parent–child relationship.
During the session, the following topics will be addressed:
- active listening
- managing intense emotions
- recognising needs
- the importance of putting emotions into words
The evening will also include simple practical exercises to explore new perspectives, as well as a final Q&A session for parents.
A valuable opportunity to grow together, as parents and as an educational community.
