Following last year’s success, the themed meetings “My School For Parents” dedicated to families are back, open to all interested parties, both My School Ticino members and non-members.

The topics cover childhood in general, from the more specific areas covered by nursery My Baby 0-3 to topics of broader interest:

  • Nutrition for 0-10 year olds: the concept of a healthy and balanced diet remains a cornerstone of My School Ticino’s nutritional education. Breastfeeding and weaning will also be included.
  • Transition from nappies to pants: collaboration and sharing between educational staff and families is the basis for helping children achieve bladder and bowel control. The conference aims to address a topic that is sometimes difficult for parents, who are invited to be active participants in this delicate transition phase.
  • Paediatric first aid: this is a cross-cutting topic for My School Ticino schools for children aged 3 to 10. The meeting aims to familiarise participants with the management of major paediatric emergencies.

In addition to “My School for Parents” events listed above, there is also a personalised counselling service on breastfeeding and weaning, through the dedicated “My Parent Support” service, which is available to both registered and non-registered families.
