The extracurricular space at My School Ticino is rooted in this very idea: being a place that accompanies children. It welcomes children aged 3 to 10, offering an environment where they can feel safe, recognized and free to express themselves, each according to their own pace and needs.
Here, children find time to be together and time to enjoy a moment of their own; time to move and time to slow down. Space adapts to the rhythm of the day and to different ages, conveying the idea that every moment has its own value and meaning.
Through play, movement, sharing and choice, children learn to get to know themselves, respect others and find their place within the group. Relationships develop naturally, supported by an environment that encourages collaboration, listening and mutual care.
Direct access to the garden further enriches everyday experiences. The garden and vegetable patch become places of discovery and attention: opportunities to get hands dirty, observe, wait and take care. Nature thus becomes part of daily life, fostering patience, responsibility and a sense of wonder.
